Jaina Theories

So.

Jaina.

What’s going on with her? Who is she? Who is her mother? Is she a Dreadlord as many seem to think?

I don’t think she is. I think she has the potential to be a big bad, but not a dreadlord.

The most important query is, I feel, who is her mother? We have never heard a name (please correct me if we have), and we assume she and her brother have the same mother.

Now, what if her mother is actually Sylvanas?

Legion Theory – Dreadlord/Lich Queen Sylvanas?

SPOILERS!

So, the leaked broadcast files (You can read the full files here – icy veins spoilers) from Legion imply, at least to me, that Sylvannas may be the hidden evil character, rather than Jaina, and it makes more sense-

The alliance version doesn’t really point to Jaina at all –

Varimathras (Alliance)
Varimathras: So, your Alliance still endures. Longer than I expected, though she has already planted the seeds of its downfall. She is patient, that one – could be Jaina, could be Sylvanas.
Varimathras: When your thrones run red with betrayal… when your holy places burn and the shattered mask hangs above your hearth… only then you will know. And it will be too late.
Varimathras: It matters not. You are blind to the true darkness closing in around you.”

lJWrj

Varimathras (Horde)
Varimathras: So, she found me at last. Sent her underlings to finish the job.
Varimathras: Tell me, when she seized your throne of hides and bones (Sylvanas is now war chief) , was your allegiance forced? No… I’d wager you surrendered it willingly… or were convinced you did.
Varimathras: It matters not. You are blind to the darkness in your midst – Sylvanas?.”

This also links in to the whole theory of the scourge becoming a big force to be reckoned with after we’ve dealt with the Legion, the four Horseman are back thanks to all you Death Knights (awesome quest line btw), and the Lich King must have a long term goal in mind after the Legion is defeated. What will the horseman do after the Burning Legion is defeated? Go back from whence they came? I think not. The Lich King now has them firmly under his control, they are his servants to lead the scourge to do whatever his bidding may be. The scourge is stronger, more focused and organised than ever, thanks DK’s.

It has been spoken about here –

What comes next – scourge

Lich King

Varimathras

Then of course there’s the whole Jaina is actually Queen Aszhara theory, or that she is a death knight…. 😉

Legion Theories

v2
VARIAN (this one is mine )
So.
Varian.
Well.
On the loading screen his swords used to be blue and orange when separated, on the loading screen they are now both orange.
Imo there has to be a reason for the change, it has me intrigued, his “main”sword is Shalamayne which was created when Onyxia fused Varians two halves back into one while they were holding their respective weapons Shalla’tor and Ellemayne.
Shalla’tor means Shadow Render, while Ellemayne means Reaver. While Ellemayne had a red/orange gem, Shalla’tor had a blue gem.
Since Lo’Gosh had the orangey sword, perhaps he will be resurrected and become a dual wielding Lo’Gosh 100%

Pre WoD and those Character Models.

Love em or hate em, the new character models will be with us soon. Of course, if you hate them you can always turn the new models off, however, it seems a shame that some people would do that after all the time and effort that went in to creating them.

The thing is, most of them are really great (though I think female draenei faces look weird, and female night elves look just like female humans but with big pointy ears). What I didn’t like, and many others I believe, was that my character didn’t look like my character any longer. She didn’t look anything how I envisioned her to look, and I was disappointed that we weren’t going to get a free characterisation change as there are other faces that do look like how i wanted my character to look when I created her (them). For one thing, the new model makes her look Asian….

mage (3)

No-one thought we would get the chance to change how our characters’ look for free when the new models hit, as it’s a lucrative cash income for Blizzard.

So, imagine our delight when this was announced – “If you were concerned about the appearance changes making you want a new face, fear not! it’s now possible in the Barbershop for a small amount of gold!”

This news made my day, literally made me whoop and dance with glee. i could use those lovely new character models with the more realistic animations, and be able to get my characters looking as close to how i want them to as i can, for the small price of 32g! /cheer!!!

Well played Blizzard, well played!

WoD

Warlords of Draenor will soon be upon us, with patch 6.0 no doubt hitting us in 4-6 weeks. As I haven’t received a Beta key (cry) I can’t comment first hand on the changes to my beloved mage class. I can say, however, that I am looking forward to the aesthetics of certain spells.

mageTalents

They look so awesomely devastating, insanely overpowered, and frankly they just look beautiful.

That being said, I think what I’m most looking forward to are the quality of life changes that are incoming, such as the Toybox, an extra bank tab for reagents and more void storage.  Anything that gives me extra storage room is great! Plus having certain toys account wide rather than farming them on each character is also a very nice and welcoming change.

I am ever so slightly concerned about the changes to the models, after viewing my characters on wowheads’ model profiler, they don’t look like the characters I know and love anymore. Blizzard have said that they will not be giving out free re-customisation, but I really do believe that everyone should get 1 free with each max level character. If your character no longer looks like themselves, there’s the chance you won’t want to play it anymore,  and hence no longer want to play world of Warcraft.

Warlords of Draenor

Well, now we know. Now we can start to get excited. Now we can farm gold and sell off our lingering profession materials. Now we can stop setting foot in Siege of Orgrimmar farming gear upgrades, when we know they will be replaced with greens very very soon.

13th November 2014 is THE date. Warlords of Draenor goes live. Another orc end boss. Yay………

(More later…..)

WoD Release date announcement.

Sooooo this thursday the 14th August 2014, we finally find out the release date for Warlords of Draenor. All we know now is that it is due for release on or before 20/12/14.

There is muchos hype about the release date, especially since blizzard announced their huge 10th anniversary events, which do actually look really really great. I believe the expansion will be released 14/10/14.

“This November marks the 10-year anniversary of World of Warcraft, and we’re cooking up a few in-game plans to commemorate the occasion. Here’s a quick preview of what’s in store:

Tarren Mill vs. Southshore: The Rematch

0TES9VDV1GWN1407278832768

If you engaged in PvP early on in WoW, you might have fond memories of—and perhaps a few scars from—the endless tug-of-war between Horde and Alliance players at Tarren Mill and Southshore. To recapture that feeling, we’ll be opening a Team Deathmatch–style Battleground based on that timeless struggle. However, unlike the old days of Tarren Mill vs. Southshore, there will be a clearly defined victor, so you’ll need to work as a team or face crushing defeat.”

Molten Core Gets Boosted

Molten Core provided many WoW players with their first taste of WoW raiding. For the anniversary celebration, max-level players will be able to participate in a special 40-player Raid Finder version to relive the experience of hunting down Ragnaros and his minions within his fiery lair. Downing the Firelord will earn you an Achievement and a special Core Hound mount reward (fireproof leg armor not included).

Corgi-licious

WAAFVH5OY8371407278832699

Anyone who logs in during the 10-year anniversary event will also be able to claim a feisty, fiery new pet: the Molten Corgi! Just think of the corgi-parade potential when you and your friends summon these wee waddling balls of fire for a walk.

These events and rewards will only be available for a limited time, so make sure to check back with us later for more information on when you can expect to see them in-game. ‘Til then, we’re looking forward to celebrating 10 epic years with you!”

I am really looking forward to getting my corehound mound, (though not the lag involved in doing a 40 man Molton Core raid) and I shall do my best not to burn my bum!
